But in fact it can appeal to anyone wanting to dicover more about Nice’s Russian heritage, both in Art and Architecture.
Our tour starts at the St Nicholas Cathedral, a majestic imposing beautiful  place of worship for the Orthodox still today. The Tsarevitch chapell dedicated to Nicholas is also in the parc surrounding the Cathedral.( to be seen from outside)
On next door Boulevard Gambetta, we can also take a look at the ”Rotonde” builded by the Russian architect Dikansky, in its Art Deco style.
Now time to find the magic of a major Russian Jewish painter with Marc Chagall’s Museum dedicated to the Biblical message. In fact, in his Art, Chagall often refers to his Russian loved village of origin : Vitebsk.
The rest of the afternoon, we’ll spend time in the Valrose estate which belonged in the past, to Baron Von Derwies. There we can see his monumental villa ( from outside ) and even look at an ”Isba” in the authentic Kiev style.
And to crown our day we will step inside the nearby” Ste Jeanne d’ Arc” Church and admire a fresco by the Russian artist Eugene Klementief.
